What Are Review Tags?


Review tags are labels you can add to reviews to organize them for reporting and analysis purposes. Tags help you track customer sentiment, identify trends, and measure what matters most to your business.




How to Add Tags to Reviews

  1. Navigate to the Reviews page
  2. Click on any review to view its details
  3. Scroll to the Tags section
  4. Click the + icon to add a tag
  5. Type your tag name (e.g., "Very Happy Customer")
  6. If the tag doesn't exist yet, click Create New Tag


The tag will be applied to the review and added to your tags library for future use.


Managing Your Tags


Accessing the Tags Page

You can access your tags in two ways:

  • Via Navigation: Click on Tags in the main navigation menu
  • Via Overview Page: Click on any tag in the tag ranking section, and it will open the tag details in a new tab


Editing a Tag Name

  1. Go to the Tags page
  2. Click on the tag you want to edit
  3. Update the tag name in the text field
  4. Click Save

All reviews using this tag will automatically reflect the updated name.


Viewing Reviews by Tag

When you click on a tag from the Tags page, you'll see:

  • The tag name (which you can edit)
  • A list of all reviews associated with that tag
  • The ability to click on any review to open it in a new tab

You can also see tag rankings and percentages in the Overview dashboard to understand which tags appear most frequently.


Merging Tags


If you have duplicate tags or want to consolidate similar tags, use the merge feature:

  1. Click on the tag you want to remove
  2. Click Remove Tag
  3. Select Merge into another tag
  4. Choose the destination tag from the dropdown
  5. Click Merge

All reviews from the removed tag will be reassigned to the tag you selected. The original tag will be deleted.


Deleting a Tag


To permanently remove a tag without merging:

  1. Go to the Tags page
  2. Click the Delete icon next to the tag, OR
  3. Click into the tag and select Delete
  4. Confirm the deletion

Note: Deleting a tag will remove it from all associated reviews.


Using Tags for Reporting


Tags build up over time and provide valuable insights:

  • Sentiment Analysis: Understand customer feelings by tracking tags like "Very Happy Customer" or "Team On Time"
  • Trend Identification: See which aspects of your service are mentioned most frequently
  • Performance Metrics: View tag percentages to see what percentage of reviews mention specific topics

Access these insights from your Overview dashboard where you can see tag rankings and associated review counts.


Tips for Effective Tagging

  • Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Team On Time" vs. "team-on-time")
  • Create tags that align with your business goals and KPIs
  • Regularly review and merge duplicate or similar tags
  • Use the search function to find specific tags quickly
