How to Connect Thumbtack to Chatavise
- Navigate to Integrations in Chatavise.
- Select Thumbtack.
- Click Install Thumbtack.
- Review the permissions and click Allow to authorize the connection.
- Wait for the connection to complete — you'll see a confirmation when it's ready.
Once connected, Chatavise will begin receiving leads from your Thumbtack account.
Connecting Your Thumbtack Business Profile to a Location
After connecting your Thumbtack account, you'll need to link your Thumbtack business profile to a Chatavise location profile. This tells Chatavise where to route incoming leads.
- On the Thumbtack integration page, you'll see a list of your Thumbtack business profiles.
- Use the dropdown on the right to select the Chatavise location you want to connect.
- Click Connect.
From this point forward, any new lead generated through that Thumbtack profile will be served directly to Chatavise. The lead will appear as both a contact and a lead inside your system.
Installing the Thumbtack New Lead Workflow
Now that leads are flowing into Chatavise, you can automate how your business responds to them using Workflows.
What Is a Workflow?
In Chatavise, a Workflow is a series of actions performed automatically based on a triggered event. That event can come from within Chatavise or from a third-party system like Thumbtack, Jobber, or Housecall Pro.
How to Install the Workflow Template
- On the Thumbtack integration page, locate the Thumbtack New Lead Workflow template.
- Click Install.
- The workflow is now installed and ready to use.
What the Workflow Does
By default, the Thumbtack New Lead Workflow:
- Sends an automatic text message the moment a new lead is created
- Sends a follow-up text message 24 hours later if the lead hasn't responded
You can customize this workflow at any time — edit the message content, adjust the timing, or add additional steps like assigning team members or tagging contacts.
Viewing Thumbtack Leads in Chatavise
Once everything is connected, here's what happens when a new lead comes in from Thumbtack:
- The lead appears in your Lead Suite under Manage Leads.
- You'll see the lead's name, contact information, and source (Thumbtack).
- Open the Chats page to view the conversation thread.
- All submission details from Thumbtack will appear in the chat window.
- Your automated outreach messages will be visible, with any scheduled follow-ups shown as well.
This gives you full visibility into every Thumbtack lead and every message sent on your behalf.
Customizing Your Workflow
The default workflow is a great starting point, but you can extend it to match your business needs:
- Edit message content — Personalize your outreach to match your brand voice
- Adjust timing — Change when follow-up messages are sent
- Add more steps — Include additional follow-ups, reminders, or notifications
- Assign team members — Route leads to specific people on your team
- Tag contacts — Organize leads by source or status for easy filtering
To edit your workflow, go to Workflows, find the Thumbtack workflow, and click Edit.
